I don’t have seen the drama “LOST”, and even heard about J.J. Abrams. Through introducing J.J. Abrams and his writing type of time-bending, I am very interesting in the series. It triggers audiences’ interesting because of the complex story, and people will want to know how the story goes on. Besides, I can learn more popular words, phrases and even linqua francas from the drama, simultaneously improve my English listening and the sensitivity of foreign languages .It’s a good way to gain two advantages by a single move from watching foreign movies or any films.

That “arrive in a timely manner” is the most helpful advice for me, because in the one of the details of this items which is tell us that you may set interviewers off when you arrive interviewing place more than 10 minutes early is contrast to my original opinion, the earlier we get in, the more polite we are, and the more ample time we will get to prepare and adapt ourselves to the new condition.

Owing to the taxing work, however, staffs are busier than ever and more anxious. For the reason, being too earlier is awkward and a little rude. So, I should turn up my mind moderately to beef up the competence.

To be an up-and-comer in the work place, we should consider every petty trifle and do it well such as reaching in an opportune moment, few minutes early. And then the masters will fix their eye on us!

That’s really a good way to kill two birds by one stone. In addition to increasing our vocabulary, watching English movies absolutely can facilitate accelerating sensitivity of English and, on the other hand, can relax ourselves simultaneously. However, these advantages about watching movie commonly exist in many English film or series, not just “LOST”. For this reason, you can tell more detail about “LOST” to enrich the article and show your passion for it, and then we will know how interesting “LOST” is.

The infection agents can harm us like bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoa and parasitic worms. They can infect people sick for influenza, diarrhea, athelete's Foot and more. But not all germs are infection agents, some germs does not harm us even can help people. For example, the germs in intestines can protects us from infection agents to avoid diarrhea, the saccharomycete can produce more delicious food. So it is important for distinction, let people to know how to use them, and not be harm by them.

I have seen J.J’s “lost” before, but only season one. It’s a complicated story, because the major character’s past were weave in the main story. So if I don’t see the series from beginning, I will really get lost in it. To sum up, “lost”is really good story can strike everyone’s chord, if I have enough time, I’ll watch it from beginning to end.

There is the comment for Wei 劉威廷:
I think that his writing is fluency and clear. I also like he give me many examples; let me know more about germs.
In my learning English life, I tried many ways to prove my ability, one of them is extensively reading. After all, I discovered that I can’t just scan of them. If I do not try to memorize some details, such as some points of issue or some example (like Wei did), I still can’t use what I have seen.
In short, I really appreciate what the Wei did and I’ll try to add more believable details in my article.

After reading this article, I learned lot's of knowledge about the reasons of leaves changing colors. I found out that the leaves changing their colors due to the reduced daylight instead of the temperature. And I also realized that the different colors of the leaves are determined by the different chemicals. For example, brown leaves are the result of tannins in the leaves. At last, I knew what the best conditions for the brightest colors.
All above are really amazing me since I found out that the plants are marvelous and varied than I can imagine.

To avoid this situation, first of all I think I need more practice and I need to practice with another person or with mirror, this can help me get used to staring by people and stay cordial, I also need to read my report out loud until I won’t bite my tongue. The most important thing of all, I really need to believe myself, holding this faith will let me calm my mind down and stay confident.

Enough time of sleeping will keep our brain sharp. We need energy for brain to study, memorize or think, and sleeping is a good way to keep us energetic. Our brain restructure the information we receive in the daytime when we are sleeping.By this process, brain may arrange a new space for us to use in another working day.As time goes by,if we get into the habit of enough sleeping, our brain may get sharper and sharper.

I always meditate or eat fruits and vegetables to keep my brain to stay sharp.
We might have more pressure after we study or work all day or a long time.
We should release or shut out the stresses of everyday life.
Meditating could help me to cold down my body and mind.
I think that it is important for us, if we want to keep our brain to stay sharp.
Then eating fruits and vegetables is easy for me to take.
We eat food everyday but we must eat some kind of nutritional food to beef up our bodies.
Fruits and vegetables are easy to get in our lives.
And these have much antioxidants to mop up some of the damage caused by free radicals, one of the leading killers of brain cells.
If we want to ward off dementia, we need to start taking care of our brain earlier.

According to Don's revision, I think it is an interesting opinion for sharping our brains and I think it is really vital for our health.

I have read a report about the importance of sleeping time for health. The expert points out that if we sleep less than 5 hours or large than 10 hours, the mortality will increase. But the report emphasize that "Too much sleep is making you tired." other than we need more time to sleep. And Don's opionin seens like emphasize that we need time to let our brains take a break, and then our brains could stay sharp.

It is a obvious contrast. In Don's post, we can see how important we need sleeping, but does the article of "enough time" refer to we need more time to sleep? Therefore, I think Don's opionin needs more attentions to articulate your concept and provide robust experiences to enrich it , like experts's studies, reports , news, even yourself experiences, let readers know how important it is and the enogh time means not only we need time to sleep but also not too much.

    His structure is clear.
First he told us what did he do and why did he do,then how did he do.
But I think that he maybe mistake the timing in second sentence.
And in the third sentence, I think that maybe he want to say "write dialy" not "write daily" and this sentence isn't fluency.

Recntly, some scientists find that there are some electorns which have a special chemical compound, which is calledbismuth telluride. In addition, one of these features is that it can travel without losing energy. And these electrons are called spintronics, which use electronic spin to carry more information than silicon-based chips can deal with.

However,it still has some problems to overcome.
One is that spintronics can only carry small currents,so it is hard to implement now.Another is that the price may be much higher than silicon, but I think it will be cheaper in the feature.

To sum up,the new discovery of spintronics will pave the way for a paradigm shift and transform computing.

There are 20 tips to train our brain in Advanced magazine, and I like most in this 20 tips is "Travel".
Travel is not only an interesting activity but also a method to train our brain.
This summer, I took a trip to France. The country is totally different from Taiwan that I faced many things different to my daily routine. In France, I had to eat croissants but not steamed buns for my breakfast. In France, I had to ask for directions with body language. In France, I had to try to sleep when the sky was still light.(The sunset time was 11 pm!)
My example tells us that when we travel, we are forcing our brain to navigate a new and complex enviroment, and meanwhile, our brain will be train.
Travel can not only make our life colorful, but also keep our brain stay sharp. So, why not take a trip this weekend?.

Photography is not only about "take a picture ,"it's a infinite field waiting for us to explore. Camera industry has made a great revolution ,from traditional camera to digital camera, no matter which one we use, reading the manual is a big challenge. It takes a lot of time and efforts to know all of the functions for us ,not to mention to tap into them at different situation including considering the strength of lights、the distance of the views and so on. When learning to combine all of the capabilities of the camera, we are actually developing a robust brain.

    Q;What's spintronic?

A: Spintronic takes electronic down to the quantum level. Because electrons don’t just carry charge-they also an ”up” or “down” spin, which can be read as a binary pattern, they can used to store information.

Q:What dose Yulin Chen hope to accomplish through spintronics?

A:Yulin Chen and his co-workers find a new material called bismuth telluride will replace silicon to use in new devices, transistor and spintronics devices. Because the new material have unique properties : Electron can travel in the chemical compound without resistance, losing no energy, leading a new way to carry more information. Even though the material is not yet applicable, it now pave the way for microchip development. But they believe the new material some day will be functioned and not too far.

Maid of the Mist boat tour, Observation Tower for a bird's-eye view, Journey Behind the Falls etc. As my opinion, Maid of the Mist boat tour would be my first choice to choose. 35. I think “review the interview” is very important. We can not predict what’s going to happen and don’t know what the boss will ask in the interview. We must try to memorize the details and hold these treasure experience. Everytime is the time we learn how to do better. But we don’t want to spend too much time learning it. After all, we want a job, not practice chances one by one. So we should review the interview carefully, find out the mistake we made, comprehend why the interviewer asked the question, and ask ourselves how to answer perfectly next time. After listing so many things, it comes to “practice” again. Nothing is successful without practice. We still should get well-prepared so that we can win in the competition.

Although we already know well-prepared before the interview is important, we never know how to do specific. Sometimes we might list what we are going to say in mind, but we never spoke it loudly. When we were during the interview, we might say many buzzwords such as um. This might make the employer thought that you might prepare not enough or not fluently. If I articulated it out loud during rehearse, I might not only avoid empty phrase but be more confident. This tip also told me what to prepare such as the challenge I overcame or my job history. Once I went to job interview, I thought that I was well-prepared, but the direction of preparation is wrong. As a result, I just sit there said nothing. 59. Q8: Among the activities available, which three would you choose to do?

    Revision

All of the activities are attracting me, because through those ways we can visit Niagara from different sight and get different feeling about the falls. I prefer to visit Niagara in the most impressive way. So among those adventurous activities, the first one I want to pick up is going to the Observation Tower’s top in New York state. Since I was a child, I like to go to the bird’s-eye theater in science museum, so I think going to get the real bird’s-eye view of a world famous landscape will be an unforgettable memory. The second one I would choose to do is taking the Journey behind the Falls. We often watch fall in front of it, but seldom take a tour behind it, especially the biggest fall in the world. The huge white curtain attracts me to take a look of it. There are some research said that the falls will disappear in few years, so we have to hold the last chance to take the special journey. The third one I would like to take is the Maid of the Mist boat tour. Because this option is the most direct way to approach the fall and let us to feel it by our drenching body, I think this tour can satisfy our desire of being daredevils.

Because we have to finish our opinion in short article, the first paragraph seems not so fitting with the question. When we try to give an answer, we may be a little tethered by the question. How to answer the question directly instead of obliquely is what we have to learn.

I have most enjoyed witnessing in "queen of the mist" who was motivated by the belief that barreling over the falls would make her rich and famous. Because I have never heard a person doing so dangerous escapade just for rich and famous. Finally, it is amazing that the daredevil is alive.

Keeping brain to stay sharp is a important thing in all of people. But how to achieve that purpose? Taking me for example, when a semesterovered and the vacation came, I came back home from school and didn't read textbookds anymore until new semester coming. I had felt my ability about reading, talking and writing were getting worse. So for my own experience, I had gone to bookstore to read some out-of-class reading materials or learned some new instrument. By reading and learning, my brain won't get worse as vacation omes.

I have seen one of JJ Abrams' works "Lost",but I don't really like its story line.I thinks its plot is somehow out of logic. For example, how can people still alive for a long time after being stranded in a mysterious island after their airplane crashed into the ocean.
Then the story keep going on the island, and some murders and tragedies happened.
In my opinion,I don’t think the story of lost isn’t attractive and interesting enough to catch my eye. Moreover,it’s not my favorite types of TV series.I prefer X-files,CSI-NY,Supernatural,and Dresden to the lost.

We can learn a new language ,and that will work our brain to think the meaning back and forth between tne new language and the native ons. We can also go gardening, that will reduce our stress and exercise our visual and spatial ability in our brain. Above that, it will be good for us to exercise our brain and ward off dementia.

  90. I’ve seen few episodes from the LOST.
The first time I watched, I felt a little confused by the special time line. When the scenes jumped back and forth, it wasn’t easy for me to understand. There were so many questions in the series like mysterious people and monsters. There were also some supernatural incidents like strange numbers seemed to point out something I didn’t know. And how the marooned people’s future and past were be connected to the plane crash. When I looked back and thought thoroughly, I could dissolve the puzzle piece by piece. And figuring it out was satisfied, it was an addictive entertainment for me.
I liked the series at the beginning, but I felt tired because there are too many seasons in the Lost. It was hard to stick with it. I can’t miss a single episode, because I might not catch up the following episodes. So, I gave up eventually. Maybe if there were lesser seasons would be much better.

i think Laura really give us a useful advise. What's the main problem for the students in Taiwan is we don't have confidence in speaking a foreign language. We have learned English for more than 10 years , we have known much words and phrases,we have had nice listening and reading ability. However , we still feel trouble in oral and writing.that is because we don't have enough courage to speak it up and loudly. So,if we can overcome the stress in speaking a foreign language, never mind the grammar is correct or not.I think that will improve our oral ability.

  94. Question: What are you doing to keep your brain sharp?

Answer: There are many tips may help from the textbook. One of them is to develop more than one hobby.
I have been doing that. Two of my hobbies are playing table tennis and playing go games. The two are belong different types: one is dynamic activity and the other is static activity. Playing table tennis exercises my body, and it keeps me healthy. At the same time when playing sports,it also fires up the brain's neurons. On the other hand, playing go games have to think. By means of thinking and thinking,it is taxing the brain.

  96. Question: Which of the tips would help you most in your next interview? why?

    Revision:
I think that “arrive in a timely manner” is helpful for me. Before I read magazine, I always arrive the place of interview as early as I can, sometimes even earlier than 20 minutes. I didn’t know that will set interviewers and staffs off. But now I realize that if you arrive earlier than 10 minutes doesn’t mean you respect this interview, it just opposite. But how much early we can arrive? I think maybe 5-10 minutes just fine. The time enough to let me get ready for interview, maybe I can practice rehearsing again. So if I have to take interview now, I will notice myself that just being a few minutes early is fine. Sometime I adjust my watch faster than 10 minutes or set an alarm clock to warn myself. Although don’t arrive earlier than 10 minutes, don’t be late! It is rude the same with arriving earlier than 10 minutes.

Computers became the one of important parts in our daily life recently. It helped us to achieve lots of things everyday such as calculating data, quality controlling and storing information. But we did not still satisfy its function yet. For this purpose, physicists at Stanford University have identified an important trait of bismuth telluride that could become an heir to silicon, perhaps transforming the computing industry. This new discovery uses electronic spin to carry information, part of new field called spintronics. It can travel without resistance that means lower power use and make it possible for smaller devices to process information. Although it’s not applicable now, computers may become cheaper, smaller and more powerful in the future.
