ReplyDeleteOne of the seven deadly career sins is gluttony. It is a sin, because people will get a promotion but lost his wits. A person who is gluttony means who always wants instant success and full credit for it. He/She always tries to conceive a quick way for a job well done, but when he/she gets what he/she wants, he/she forgets any help along the way. This kind of people always break up the rapport in workplace, and make him/herself be marooned. We know that there is no shortcuts to the achievement and we can't forget the help from the pack of our partners when we succeed. Then, avoid becoming a gluttony person will help us to assure career advancement in a way that is right and acceptable.

Selfish is one of the seven sins in work place. The people who show their selfish character always let others feel uncomfortable. Because they just care themselves success more than the payment in working processing. And they only think about the benefit they can get, overlooking that: all the achievement should distribute to every co-worker, not just their contribution. After all, selfish people will let office’s atmosphere become bad and may make themselves into a marooned place. It’s also a terrible situation to their career. When boss assess the candidates of promotion, they must be last choice. So we better try to avoid such sin appear in our work attitude.

For example, if you need to lay out a project for your boss, you will need ample information and ideal. Selfish will let no one want to help you, and you can not do the project prefect. But almost everyone would forget that not only the inside behaviors are important but also the "outside behaviors" .What's the outside behavior?It means the behaviors before your term starets.Some people may get nervous or feel boring for waiting,then take out his/her cell-phone ,and speaking loudly.The behavior will contribute to disturbances in that other interviewers may need rest and calm,and the rude behavior will affect other's emotions.

ReplyDeleteLaziness is the killer in the workplace, people often use their work time doing other thing that have no concern with the work such as keep checking e-mails, playing web game. They delay the schedule just for another cup of coffee or one minute more web surfing. The next day they shall need to finish the work yesterday and the schedule will be delay again. If a person that he really want to be promoted in office, and become rich. Although he has opportunities to ask for his authority, he doesn't has the ability to competence for the job. Then he will make a lot of mistakes, and get fired.

Anger
ReplyDeleteAnger is a fierce emotion we often have in life. Even it's just an emotion, it could also become a sin in our workplace. Sometimes we 'll get angry or unhappy about things happens in our job. For example, your boss is shutting at you in front of your coworkers for no reasons. As an ordinary person, you definitely get unhappy about it. With all the anger coming up and ready to explode, it's important to control your temper at this moment. Silly actions like bounceback is never a smart way to work off. Take a deep breath and try not to let the other detects your emotion. By this way, you may not make yourself better, but you can avoid the situation from getting worser!

Laziness is the worst attitude in the work place. For instance, not until the deadline won’t you finish the files 、always being the latest one entering the office and the first one who leaves、invariably put yourself in the passive position …and so on.
In your boss’ point of view, above circumstances means you are lack of enthusiasm 、trying every way to fool around during the working hours. When you work with a lot of colleagues, you must face a situation which is that you should collaborate with your colleagues to finish a project. If in this moment, one of co-worker is selfish, others must be influenced, leading everyone doesn’t want to work hard on the project, the worst situation is everyone doesn’t trust each other. ReplyDeleteTo be selfish will stop your success. When you are in workplace, you face a pack of people everyday. You can't finish a program just on your own, instead, carrying out a program needs many people's help.
First, a leader should hold on the overall situation, then he or she allocates tasks to the next level directors. And there are different kinds of detail jobs need several team members to do separately.
If anyone is selfish in a work team,like ignoring the team work dates, the program will not be done well possibly, and that might affect your job schedule even everyone's.

We must be kind and help our coworkers to fulfill their jobs spontaneous when we have extra time and vigor. If we can be such generous people, we will not only win a good relation with others, but also obtain some reciprocation from our coworkers when we face difficulty.
For students, school is our workplace, and classmates are just like our coworkers. Hence, we can do many things to prevent being selfish, such as sharing informations, team work, and always being glad to help others.

ReplyDeleteWhen we work, some thing we should remember what don’t to do. One of that is don’t anger in workplace. No matter our boss or manager require us to do something boring or complex can let us on the go, we have to say “yes or OK” and just do it quickly. ReplyDeleteWe should have an active attitude in our workplace, never be lazy when we are working. Because no one want a lazy person to be whose partner or employer. We have to concentrated on everything we should do and achieve our task in time even earlier. All of all, we need contain positive attitude in the workplace rather than lazy.

Selfish is a sin of workplace which means do your job only without caring others. Sometimes there are an emergency. For example, a call from hospital tells you that your Mom needs a surgery right away. At this time, you might ask your colleagues to help your job, so that you can go to the hospital and see your Mom. If he refuses to do, you will think he is selfish no matter what reason is. I am not saying that we should do any favors even it is unreasonable. If we can give a hand to someone, they might pay your back. Never think that I just need to do my job well. Don’t be too selfish, or you’ll be hated by people.

Laziness in the workplace
ReplyDeleteLaziness is a bed attitude in the workplace. When other people work very hard, but you do your things-sleeping, playing games or didn't do anythings. It will let you sitting idle and watch other success. The attitude hampered your work progress and let you finich later. Then you will lost your job. The salvation: "trea your work every day and finish them on the day". Be lay out your time!

ReplyDeleteThere are many sins in workplace. One of the most severe sin that maybe sets other colleagues off is being selfish. A person who is selfish means that he has some information keeping in his mind and don't want to share with others. Maybe there is a important message that employer want to announce his employee, but someone stop the message delivery. Selfish also can refer to somebody that is too cocky to do anything he wants and don't care others felling. Avoiding this sin, we can do anything not only always for ourself and think twice before we make decisions. That can makes us to nail in interpersonal relationship.

ReplyDeleteSelfish is a big sin in workplace. Why I say that? Because if someone just thinks about his/her benefit all the time doesn’t care about others, or just do his/her works doesn’t help others, do you want to make friend or colleague with him/her? I think the answer is “NO!” because the kind of people is selfish. They always live in their own world and don’t think about cooperation. But everything has been finished by a lot of people’s contribution, not just only in one person. No matter your status is boss or staff, you should think more for others, only that can help you accomplish work quickly and perfectly. Besides you can get more benefits than you are selfish.

ReplyDeleteAfter I read the message from Howard, I have the same thinking with him. In most work place, the work is mostly belongs teamwork. So when we have some different or opposite suggestion from other,we have to discuss peacely to solve this kind of problem. This is a common thing of interaction between people. If we can use the normal mind to face these accident instead of getting angry, we can nail the success of interaction with people.

Gluttony
ReplyDeleteGluttony means someone eat too much and he can't afford it. So, if we talk about gluttony in workplace, it often represent someone achieve his goal too quickly, but he has not ready for it .Sometimes, we can see some people move up their job, but they have not build up their relationship with their co-workers,or they don't have enough professional techknowledge. Finally, they lose their job. Therefore, we had better to learn more professional ability to get ready for any challenge we might face. There is not any shortcut to the achievement. Only step by step in our workplace , and get more experience with our job. And we'll achieve our goal at the end.
I have a comment for Christina .I really accept your opinion .In realife, there really are many selfish people in any place .And most of they will destory the harmonious between parterners. However , Most importantly is how do we relate to variable kinds of people and let the team can achieve their goal peacefully.I think that is the thing we must learn before we go into the workplace.

ReplyDeleteLust is the one of deadly workplace sins. It means people who spend more time focusing on other’s work achievements rather than their own work. In the workplace, achievements may help someone to be promoted. Promotion represents not only the higher salary but also the affirmative of ability. But there is no shortcut to the credits. People who want to be promoted quickly may always loss the wit. They may snatch the credits from other colleagues and peers or do something bad to them in the workplace. Maybe they can be promoted by the methods which are mentioned above, but they loss their colleagues help and belief simultaneously. It’s really detrimental to their job.

ReplyDeleteIn workplace, you shouldn’t show laziness. While you are in a lazy attitude, it means you don’t want to work or make any effort to do anything. You may being dilatory in doing things, or even you just waste your time doing nothing but just hanging around there. That’s a bad thing in work. When you don’t concentrate doing your job, it can sink the morale lower not only yourself but everyone colleague you work with. I think that will totally make sense if you get fired. So, laziness is really a bad sin that everyone should avoid it.

ReplyDeleteGluttony is urgent to reach a goal or an achievement. You rob all credit but don’t share with peers or others who ever help you. For example your boss gives you a case. And you achieve this case with your group. But you talk your boss this case complete by yourself. Maybe this way is a shortcut to promotion. But you will deteriorate more things such as your peer’s trust and bad relationship. Even everybody wants not to help you in your workplace. Therefore gluttony is dettiment should be avoided in your workplace.

Don't anger in workplace.
ReplyDeleteArguement happens when discussing something with others. Everyone wants their opinions to be accepted. But usually there can be only one choice. So,they begin to dispute. Finally,the most angry and loudest one wins this battle. Then their reletionship gets broken. Others obey because of being submitted. So they do things in a bad mood. Still,the work appears bad and maybe uncompleted. So,never be angry in workplace.
